How long will Chantelle's Granola stay fresh?

Chantelle's Granola is made fresh every week.  It is made to order and not to stock.  Your granola will arrive within a week of the day it was made.  Since the product is made without preservatives, we encourage you to consume it within 3-4 weeks but we have a "best by" date of 3 months from date of production.

The granola is packaged and sealed shortly after it is made to preserve freshness.  After the bag is opened, we suggest you store it in an airtight container (such as a mason jar or glass box).  It is especially important for places where humidity is high and the moist fall months of San Francisco.  In an airtight container, it will stay fresh and crispy for at least 3 months. You can extend the shelf life even longer by freezing it.  

Is your granola organic?

All of our ingredients are certified organic but we have not certified our product as organic yet.  We will do so when the volume is high enough to justify the cost to do so.  

Is this product vegetarian?

Yes.  In addition, none of the granola varieties contain dairy, eggs, or soy.  We do use honey, so it is not considered vegan. 

Is this product gluten free?

Yes. Our product does not have gluten ingredients.  In addition, we use certified gluten-free oats.  However, we have not gone through the formal certification process yet.  We will do so when the volume is high enough to justify the cost to do so.
